Today when I tried to uninstall Adobe Photoshop CS3 I was getting this error “Installer Database is Corrupt“. I tried searching for the solution and when I found the solution it was a bit confusing. I searched Adobe official website and read the whole article about this problem. Though the solution is also given in Adobe official website but it is a bit long. I found a simple and easy way to solve this problem.
So lets start :
Whenever you come across this problem just go to your C drive then in the upper horizontal bar click on Tools and select Folder Options. In the View tab put a tick on Show Hidden Files and Folders and click on Apply and then OK. After doing this navigate to
C>>Program Files>>Common Files>>Adobe
Search for backup folder and caps folder and delete a file named caps (it is the database file) present in these 2 folders.
Now after deleting these files install an application known as Your Uninstaller 2008 from here.
The main feature of this application is that it makes a deep scan of registry and remove all entries of the softwares that are not in use. But normal Add/Remove program does not provide such facility.
Just install this software and from here you can easily uninstall Adobe Photosop without any error.
Yippe !! You have successfully uninstalled Photoshop without any error.
If you are still facing any problem drop me an email.
