How To Play Games In Google Talk : Gtalk

Recently Google launched a realtime Gadgets API for Google Talk. With this, you can play games with your friends online. Below is a detailed tutorial on how to play games on Gtalk :

Note : For the time being, this API is only available to the sandbox.

1. First visit sandbox, and login with your Gmail account.

2. Now send the following link to your friend and tell him/her to login with his/her account.

http://talkgadget.google.com/talkgadget/sandbox

3. When your friend will start using Gmail Chat’s sandbox, then in the chat box click on Options and select Start Application

4. After clicking on Start Application, enter the link of the game that you want to play. Currently, there are 3 games to play, below are the game names and links :

• Chess : http://code.google.com/apis/talk/examples/chess.xml
• Rock Paper Scissor : http://code.google.com/apis/talk/examples/rps.xml
• Automatic Translation Application : http://code.google.com/apis/talk/examples/interpreter.xml

5. Copy and paste your desired link to play your game and then hit Enter.

6. On the other hand, your friend will get a box, to play the game.
