5 Habits To Adopt To Become A Successful Blogger

Its been an year I am into blogging and truly speaking, blogging has changed my whole life. In this post I am going to share my own experience, I am going to tell you what habits you should adopt to be a successful blogger. By successful I do not mean famous, it means that you will get more output by doing less input. Being successful is totally different from being famous. Lets start.

Keep on thinking about new ideas

Blogging is what ? Sharing your ideas with others! I remember, last week I went for shopping with my mom and there I saw a great color combination in one of the Sari, I quickly took out my mobile and captured the image to use that color combination in my next template. In this way, I keep on looking for new ideas even if I am out for shopping or playing.

Be passionate

I do not waste time hanging out with my friends or wasting time on mobile, rather I love to increase my skills by reading articles on other tech blogs. This helps me in gaining more knowledge. And by reading such articles I get a lot of new ideas. So, if you are in blogging, be passionate about it and stop wasting your time and concentrate on your blog.

Comment

Many blogs are filled with this tip that commenting increases traffic, but unfortunately none of them explains how to comment in a systematic way so as to get most out of it. If you want to be a part of this commenting system then you must read and follow steps below, they will help you in using this system more easily and in a systematic way.

• First create a new email id as you will use it only for commenting.
• Now, make a list of blogs that your read daily, also include a list of other blogs that matches the niche of your blog. Make a list of about 20 blogs. The list should include blog URL and admin name.

Note : Please note that, the blogs you have included in your list should have good Alexa ranking and PR.

• Now, go to each blog and subscribe to their feeds.
• Congratulations, half of your job is done. Now, install Mozilla Firefox and for easy commenting you can use easyComment add-on. Click here to visit the installation link.
• Now, as you receive feeds in the Inbox, go to that post and write a comment. Do it for all the blogs. Yes, it’s a tedious job, getting success is not as easy as you think.

Reply to comments

Always remember that your readers are your guests and you should respect them, so make it a habit to reply the comments that readers leave on your blog. Unreplied comments force the readers to think that either you do not have an answer or you do not care about them.

Use Social Networking Websites

Social networking websites like Twitter, StumbleUpon, Digg, Reddit etc can be an ultimate source of traffic if and only if they are used in a systematic way. I’ve seen many users blindly sending friend requests and shouting them their post to Digg or Stumble. Its totally a wrong procedure, below are some tips that you must read before using any social networking website.

First create an account on only 1 social networking website, say StumbleUpon.

Now, only add those friends who you know personally and who can thumb and review every article of yours. And in return, be ready to do the same. In this way increase your network of friends one by one and start gaining their interest by stumbling and reviewing their articles. When you have about 50 friends who stumbles your posts and also review them every time, then its time to create account on other networking websites. Give them the invitation to join your friend list. Like this, you can extend your network.

This is the proper way of using social networking websites, using such way will definitely get traffic to your website.
