How To Set Internet Explorer As A Default Internet Browser [TRP]

After you install more than one Internet Browser, there stays a confusion which browser should we select as default. One of our readers Nikhil, today asked that he has Firefox and Internet Explorer both installed in his system and Mozilla Firefox is the default one but he want to change the default browser to Internet Explorer. What should he do ?

Solution

Click on Start and select Control Panel. Here, open Internet Options.

In the programs tab, at the bottom put a tick on Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser. Now, click on Apply and then Ok.

Now, open Internet Explorer, and it will ask you whether you want to set IE as a default browser or not. Click on Yes ! And you have successfully set IE as a default browser.

And in you want to again set Firefox as a default browser, at the top click on Tools and select Options.

Select the Advanced tab, at the bottom click on Check Now and a dialog box will appear asking about your permission.

Click on Yes and you are done !
