How To View Stored Passwords In Internet Explorer [TRP]

Mozilla Firefox has an inbuilt option to view stored passwords, but how to view these passwords in Internet Explorer 8 or older versions ?

This is the question asked by one of our reader Amadh !

Here is a small utility for you called IE PassView that reveals the passwords stored by Internet Explorer browser. It supports the new version of Internet Explorer 7.0, the Beta version of Internet Explorer 8.0, as well as older versions of Internet Explorer, v4.0 – v6.0

IE Pass only stores 3 types of passwords :

  1. AutoComplete Passwords
  2. HTTP Authentication Passwords
  3. FTP Passwords

That’s Pretty Cool Tips you have given today.

First I thought may be you don’t have to install any software for that.

I don’t think there is any point using IE7 or IE8 now. There are filled with bugs which Microsoft don’t bother to fix.

Firefox and Chrome are better than IE7 and IE8
