After the successful launch of Google Chrome Internet browser, Google is taking a step further and is planning to launch a brand new Operating System. According to the official Google Blog “Google Chrome OS is an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at netbooks. Later this year we will open-source its code, and netbooks running Google Chrome OS will be available for consumers in the second half of 2010″
Google always come up with high quality work and this new OS will be a huge success. The key factor of this OS are SSS. (speed, simplicity and security).

If little ‘ol me saw this coming, Microsoft MUST have also suspected that Android was a backdoor means towards introducing a new PC operating system.
That’s good.
Just let it be sqift to boot! And able to do email and email setup easily, word, excel, visio or sketchup, ppt or equiv. And low cost sw such as the above MSoft Office.
I have also posted a post on this . Hope to see a good OS. thereby good competition.
That Google would go after this new business surprises only those that don’t understand Google. Industrial-era thinkers believe you should “stick to your focus”. Like GM. But Google knows that in an information economy if you don’t keep moving into new markets with new technologies looking for more revenues you won’t survive.
