How To Configure Your Google Adsense Code For Revenue Sharing Program

ADVERTISEMENTS

In this post I am going to tell you how to add your Adsense code into posts. It is a very easy task. Before starting this tutorial I assume that you have already registered to BeepTheGeek. I have divided this tutorial into two parts (i) Creating 336 x 280 Google Ad (ii) Adding the ad code in the blog. Lets start :

Creating 336 x 280 Google Ad

Step1. Create a new text ad of the following format :

Ad unit : Text ads only
Size : 336 x 280
Border = FFFFFF
Title = E77100
Background = FFFFFF
Text = 000000
URL = 00AACE

Note : Please note to set Font Family as Arial and Font Size as Large. Below is the final screenshot of the settings

Step2. Get the Adsense code and it will look like this :

<script type=”text/javascript”><!–
google_ad_client = “pub-5477315634758644“;
/* 336×280, created 11/23/09 */
google_ad_slot = “7201949980“;
google_ad_width = 336;
google_ad_height = 280;
//–>
</script>
<script type=”text/javascript”
src=”http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js”>
</script>

In the above code, you can see two colored codes. The blue colored code is called the Your Advertising ID and the orange colored code is the Google Ad Slot i.e

Your Advertising ID = pub-5477315634758644 (the number will be different in your code)

Google Ad Slot = 7201949980 (the number will be different in your code)

Step3. Note down these two codes as we will need it further.

Adding the code in the blog

Step1. Now, open BeepTheGeek’s dashboard and at the left hand side click on Advertisement

Step2. In the Your Advertising ID text box enter the blue colored code that you noted in the above step and in the Google Ad Slot text box, enter the orange colored code.

Dear Gaganpreet, Please check the Adsense code Unit size you have mentioned in the post. I suppose it should be 336 x 280 instead of 336 x 260. It may confuse new blogger.
