Stop Using Warez Sites ! The Story So Far

Recently I came across a poll on a forum where users were asked do they use Warez or not ? I was surprised to see that more than 90% of Internet users uses Warez. If you are not familiar with the term Warez, then I define Warez as those websites that provides software cracks and keygens.

Most of the warez websites are in the form of forums where users upload cracks and keygens and give links to other forum members. Recently, my friend(a programmer) gave me a Software named Keylogger Maker.

He told me that this software is used to make invisible keyloggers. Enter your email id in this software and click on Create KeyLogger and this software will make an executable file for you that will work as a keylogger and will mail you the details input by the keyboard.. He also told me that the keylogger created by this software will not be detected any anti virus.

I created a keylogger with email id mithuji990@gmail.com and merged it with a crack. I uploaded that crack on RapidShare, made an account on Warez-bb and gave the link there. In few minutes I started getting the personal details in my email. Have a look at the screenshot below :

I scanned that keylogger with five anti viruses and it was not detected by any of them.

Conclusion

The conclusion of this story is that, even if you have a good anti virus and anti spyware installed in your system, your account can be hacked through keyloggers. It better, not to use these Warez websites. Download and install applications only from trusted websites such as CNet, FileHippo etc.
