Best Method To Change The Theme Of Your Wordpress Blog

I’ve seen many complaints from Wordpress users that they see a white screen while changing the theme of their blog. To overcome this problem below is a simple method you should opt while changing your Wordpress theme.

1. First login to your Wordpress dashboard

2. In the left hand side, under Plugins click on Installed.

3. Put a tick on the checkbox beside Plugin to select all the Plugins

4. Now, at the top from the drop down menu, select Deactivate and click on Apply button. This will deactivate all the installed plugins.

5. Now you can activate your Wordpress theme without any problem.

6. Do not forget to activate all the plugins again.

Why to disable all the plugins

Sometimes there exists a conflict between the theme and installed plugins. So, if you face any white screen issue while activating your theme, you can follow the procedure above.

I have actually never had the problem of the white screen, guess I’m lucky ;)

I am a person who is never satisfied with my blogs theme and that is why I tweak my theme most of the times. But I have never encountered any of such error’s though..

Even i never had such problem but i do deactivate few plugins to avoid conflicts. One of the plugin is wp super cache and other is theme tester.
