Intel’s Single Core N435 Processor To Lower Notebook Prices
Semi-conductor giant Intel said that it has come up with a new Atom processor in order to lower prices of netbooks below US$ 200. The
single-core Atom N435 clocks a speed of 1.33 GHz and includes a 512 KB of cache which makes it one of the most sluggish second generation N series processor. Though the processor will lower the cost of netbooks, but at the same time experts believe that it will bring down performance of netbooks too which is a major cause of concern.
Asus Using The New Atom Processor
Meanwhile, Asus is using the new Atom processor in its latest device Eee PC X101 priced at $ 199 which was unveiled during the Computex trade show in Taipei. The new chip from Intel can bring good days back for the netbook market which has been losing grounds to tablets. Since netbooks are used for basic internet surfing and word processing. It will be interesting the impact of the new chip on the sales of netbooks.
