Speed up Windows 7 with ReadyBoost

Windows 7 includes the same feature known as ReadyBoost (Launched from Windows Vista Versions) which helps us attach a flash Pen drive or Storage Data card to save and utilize commonly used programs and files for faster access, than the traditional secondary storage devices.

It is very simple to enable this feature. Slide the Memory drive or any such device you want to use for boosting the performance to your system. You will now see a dialogue box with available options:

Select the “Speed Up My System” option from the list and you will be redirected to the Main Menu of the ReadyBoost program.

You simply need to select “Use this Device” option and then set the total amount of space you want to allocate. After the space is allocated, windows 7 will integrate the page file system on the disk and blend it in to speed up the functionality.

Remarks: This function only works with universal serial bus v2.0 portable storage devices.
